Have you ever had just one of those days where everything seems to go wrong? Yeah. Today has been one of those days. I've been running on very little sleep and then I have problems ranging from fights and worrying to my TV not working and it being a million degrees in my house. (Ok, so maybe I over exaggerated on that last one...)
We all have those days. But what can be done on the days where we just want to lay around, forget the world and do nothing? How can we possibly feel better when everything is going wrong? Sometimes we run to our technology; computers, IPods, and TVs. That's pretty much what I did today. Those things aren't necessarily bad, but when that becomes your main solution for sadness, it can be a problem. One thing I would say to help with the blues is to listen to music. Music is basically God's gift to humans. Seriously. Music can lift anyone up, and you just might hear a line that can help you. Another thing you can do is talk to someone. (Hey, we're always here! Hint hint. I love hearing from you guys!) But really one thing I'm learning to do is to allow yourself to be sad. You can't be happy and at your best every day. Allow yourself a lazy day and give yourself a break! Be careful not to allow yourself too much time off, because that will allow depression to come in, and we want to fight that depression.
So do what you need to do. Kick back. Relax. Read a good book, where your favorites clothes, put on a little makeup, whatever will make you feel better. Enjoy the day! Find beauty in everything! I love taking pictures! So when I'm feeling down, I take pictures. I love how the world looks through my lense. So maybe spending time doing your favorite hobbie will help. Exercising works great too!
Well, today was also a great day for us RAIM (Rise Above It Missions) members! Our Facebook page got its 30th Like! And we have been emailing someone for the past few days. I really enjoy what I do here. I know 30 seems like a pathetic number but if I was able to really touch 30 peoples lives, I would do it in a heartbeat. If those are the only 30, but we still help them, this would all be worth it. If you would Like our Facebook page that would be awesome! But most of all, know that you can share things with us. We are here for you. Hearing about your stories helps me when I have bad days. It really does. Also, the forums on here are like....dead. So be a dear and take a leap of faith! Share your story, because you never know who might need to hear it.
If you're having a rough day I hope you have found some encouragement here or on our Facebook page. We always post encourag
